Is there a marking or anything to tell ITR seats from a knockoff or anything? A friend of mine is picking some up for only 300 in mint condition and we're just wondering if they could be fakes.. Any markings? Sticker/tab/etc? Thanks! ?

Don't all the real ones have a great big "RECARO" across the top? That'd be a damn good sign.

 

Well if they're jdm they'll say recaro at the top of them. If they are usdm they will be SUEDE , actually its alcantara, but will be black in color with red stiching. Just look at some photos of them and you'll know if you getting ripped off or not.

 

also isn't the adjustment **** kind of shaped like a mazda rotor? (eliptical triangle looking thing) or is that just the more recent ones?

even $300 for a set of US ITR seats is strangely low... possibly stolen goods, buyer beware

 

If it's USDM, it's probably stolen.

There are no such things as fake ones unless someone recovered them in suede but that would cost even more than stock seats.

I sold a JDM Recaro SRD a while back, I was told it was the same design as JDM ITR seats. But yeah it did have the triangluar **** on side for adjustment.
