Well, it's more like a scent, than a smell.
I felt it after installing turbo (been on for 3 weeks so far). It seems like it has a scent of oil... but, I may be just paranoid now
Now, funny thing is I kinda feel it when standing at traffic light, and similar - not always, and whils driving it's OK I'm not leaking oil, tail pipe is clean (ok, black but clean - no oil residue). At WOT there is no bluish smoke - a friend tried to drive behind me several times, and he couldn't smell anything like oil burning or similar.
If I pop the hood, I can't smell anything there.. seems OK.
Only thing I have noticed is in charge pipes it had something like a very tiny layer of 'fog' of oil on it, but really vaguely - I guess it's normal though. No, there werent enuff even to make for one drop of oil tho (after 3 weeks of driving).

Hmm.. is that the infamous 'turbo smell' I was reading about?

 

My car reaks of oil, exhaust, sometimes a little coolant. It's awful, but I live with it. I have no cat. I guess that could be adding to it. Does everyones car smell? Should we not be as worried as we are?

 

my car smells like gas, on startups it smells very bad, on stops sometimes i smell it sometimes i don't. turbo been in for less then a month, but then again i have no *** and its a 2.5" dp -> muffler and i think i'm running rich with SMC and 450s idle set at 33 and 1k set at 34

you will have alot of new smells and sounds to go along with that new power. double and triple check your oil levels and check for leaks and if you dont see any run the **** out of that ****. but an oil smell is not all that uncommon in my experience.

 

are u running a pcv system?? if not..ur crank case is being vented into ur engine bay and thats what ur smelling...

I put a hose on valve cover breather that runs underneath car (i've put a filter on end.. just in case).. might be it, but - dunno, as in idle at stop (when I feel it most) there is no blowby there... dunno

I'll have to investigate that soon.. but kinda cold again outside so don't feel like that now.. heh..
