Default Pondering...All motor D15

Anyone have a modded D15?

I'm really looking into doing the cheapest ITB setup as possible for my 89 Civic hatch.

Thinking...

SI, or Exospeed cam
my F4i ITB setup (obviously with a MPFI swap).
Cheap *** header
PM6 with an AFC

Thoughts?

Throw in some high compression pistions(somewhere in the area of 13-14:1), fatty injectors get a good head job and some high octane fuel (like 120) an hit the dyno, get it tuned and hit the strip. O is this gonna be a DD? If so, scratch the high comp pistions. Just my 02 cents tho.

This is my daily driver. The main goal is just to get decent power (maybe 120-150whp) with as little money as possible.

as far as the internal build up...NO. I would if this was a ubber race project, but I'm just looking for a fun cheap lil ITB project.

Hehehe...its funny you say that. I have a CRX with a 84mm built B18C1 with a GT35E setup...hoping for 500whp.

I don't need another car with tons of power!

since you already have a car with plenty of HP. I think it would be cool to just mess around with some different setups on the lil D15. best of luck to ya

try doing it like the old school SCCA rules
take the D15, rebuild it, put some independed WEBERS on it..
bump compression and the wildest cam u can get
at least u should get a low 15, high 14 car with that giving u (realistic 125whp) and u shall have fun

First of all, no. secondly the D15 uses different rods from the D16, so that would be expensive as ****. Third, NO.

bryson, consider acura or honda pistons to raise the CR. ECU!!
i can help you out with chipping it if you'd like, ROM editors are not that hard to use.

d15 block, 1991 CRX Si head, port and polished head(soon), JG cam, stock cam gear for now, DC header, AEM intake, bored out throttle body, 1991 CRX Si LSD trans. Thats my setup, in a 1989 4 door with pwoer everything and on 15inch GSR rims it did 15.2 without port and polish yet.. now i have it in a CRX, hopefully mid 14's.

If you want a fast d15 you can put ZC pistons in it and a Vtec head on it with a skunk 2 cam and VAFC and blah blah blah. Im doing that (zc pistons, skunk 2 cam) and also supercharging it. im into d15-d16's too. tell me how it goes and hope i was a little bit informative on what you want to do.

STG4 Exospeed cam, Raise compression and leave it to the headwork to make the power-
ALSO upgrade the rods
