Default Motor Swap 99 accord

How much would it cost to get and H22 motor and swap it with my....dont know what engine come with the 99 accord. I want to swap it an convert it to a manual tranny( yeah its auto right now) and maybe turbo charge it. Or should i stay with my SOHC and turbo charge that?, right now i got about 120,000 miles on it.

What is the estimated cost for the swap and convertion?

btw im a newby right now i only have a CAI and custom exhaust and just got it lowered and put some rims

well u have a 01 accord. and its about the same as the 99. well it depends on how much u get the motor for and labor, the machanics at our shop converted it to obd1. well with all that i spent roughly 3 g's give or take. the auto to manual conversion runs about 3 bills but depends on where u go. and to go turbo rite now am rite in the middle of turbo'n mine. and im spending about 3 g's if not more for turbo. but im changin the tranny cuz im using the stock 5sp accord tranny. and 2 g's are goin into my turbo intercooler bov and electronics due to some pretty cool hook ups. and piping will run me bout 5 bills and manifold was like 250. so your lookin to spend some money . . . i liked the h22 by its self but my car is just too damn heavy. but yeah thats wat im gettin into. so good luck. im pretty sure other people can help u im pretty new to all this myself. well good luck . .

I also have an 01 accord. I went with turbo charging the stock F23A1 motor. To be honest if you want a H22A and manual just go buy the prelude. The total cost of motor/tranny swap and turbo will be more than a 99 prelude.

i've gotten estimates between $4000 and $5000 for the complete swap. motor, tranny, ecu, plus labor.

I plan on getting it too, but I'm not sure yet because of what future complications I might encounter w/ the swap

Also, you might also consider to change the flywheel, clutch, timingbelt, water pump...and custom driverside engine mount. Resister box, wireharness.

did someone-or yourself have to custom make the parts for the turbo kit, more info would be appreciated. ie. manifold, intercooler, air intake/piping, injectors, fmu?

go 2-2 all the way! i spent just over 2 g's on my sway into my 00' cord coupe. basically, diy is the best way to go if you don't want to be raped! i too, got estimates for 4-5 g's. in all, it's was worth the experience. if u decide to do the swap i'll be more than willing to assist you (online of course).
