First off, leave your rims on. Slips=no specially for a CRX. Carbon fibre hood, I wouldn't do on a white car either. If you DO want those 2 chops, post it in the a/c forum.

 

Well since nobody's helping you, I'll make an attempt. First off, you should be able to find plenty of pics of white crx's with black slips. Google is your friend. Here's my car. Not the greatest pics, but it may give you an idea. Those are black (not gunmetal) 16's.

Those wheels are sweet. I'd keep them if I were you. Everyone in the US has Rotas so I think I might get rid of mine.

Ha ha...you said bonnet. Do you want a carbon fiber "boot" too ?

 

im in the uk tho.. nobody has rota's.. not sure myself about CF bonnet thats why i want it done..

 

don flame me or nothing, but why not carbonfibre on a white car??

whats so wrong with it, it looks better on a white car than on any other colour IMHO...

for a reason lol .... those rims u have are really nice .. and there is nothin special about rotas .. i mean they are nice rims .. if u cant aford the big tickets...

 

Well he obviously wants Rotas. They're fairly light and if EVERYONE in the US didn't have them then I wouldn't even be thinking about getting rid of mine.

 

I just got some in 15x7, their cheap, fairly light, and look good, so what if everyone has em, if they look good they look good. My only other option was Circuit 8s and those don't come in 15x7. Everything else I saw that I liked in 15x7 was major $$.

Also, gunmetal on the 15x7s is a very dark brownish color, black at night, kinda greenish amber in day.

they are Rover 623 brakes, which are a direct bolt on, and considered very cheap!

282mm brakes..

im currently doing this conversion with uprated discs, pads and hoses

Leave it how it is, maybe lower it a bit more. Mismatching body parts look very not good. Dont get a Carbon Fiber hood unless you plan to paint it.

 

if your mirrors were black, and you had dark colored wheels (like the slipstreams) i would say go for it. i think if you dont have enough black on your car when you put the CF hood on, then it looks really out of place.

Your car looks great the way it is. If what you want is lighter rims then maybe something other than slips. Save your money on the CF hood for something useful like coilovers. Did I mention your car looks great? Don't ruin it!

 

I agree the car looks great. I too agree that if yuou DID cf hood, black rims would be the way to go. I am not a fan of the color of the rims now..but still everything is clean about your car and I love it.
ALSO LOVE that "spoiler" that is the stock ukdm, correct? I have been looking into that lately as one of the ONLY options for a rex spoiler (aside from the edm). props to you. get whatever wheels you like...wish I had the pics or photochopping skills you arel ooking for, instead, I give you my .02

 

ive already got coilovers... KW v1's... done the brakes, as Gary said its the Rover 282mm conversion...

i love my wheels... i would not be selling the current ones... but i can get these slipstreams relatively cheap so i thort i might give them a whirl...

one prob though they may not fit over the brakes.. in which case i will just sell them on..

yep the spoiler is std on UK VT's.. also std on JDM SiR's

again im not definitly getting a CF bonnet, just want to see what it would look like on my car

Man, the car's in good shape from what I see though dang. Is that the original paint?

w/slips though it just looks like every other crx in the US at least so I guess it might stand out in the UK? I don't know
