I've never heard of that company before, but I've got a set of the Samco colored radiator hoses. They are very nice.

I talked to them. Their hoses are made of 100% rubber. I just picked up the upper hose as they are local to me. I paid $53.00 for the hose! Alot cheaper than what Samco wanted(144.00). I'm happy with it

Seriously, I wish I had $ to blow on "pretty" raditor hoses.

I'm not knocking the people who do it, but really, its rather useless mod.

I thought the Samco hoses were made of silicone? Rubber hoses will degrade slowly over time because of the heat under the hood; and the coolant running through them also starts to eat way the rubber. Silicone is much more resistant. So this might not be completely useless, but I wound't spend my money on it either.

You have no idea what you are talking about. The Samco hoses are triple-ply silicone hoses. A lot more durable than the stock rubber ones. Extra safety for those of us that track our cars.

you really need a triple-ply hose? Extra safety for track junkies is nomex gear, not really radiator hoses on fairly new cars where the hoses have not stretched and been weather beaten.

i think if you track your car....safety aspect should not be over looked....and i think for the s2k the biggest safety you need to track the car is a roll cage and safety harness....imo...

but for those that daily drive their cars, anything more than a roll bar that has A-pillar bars is unsafe for the street, you don't really wear helmets on the street so if you do roll over or get into a wreck, you're head will get rocked by the tubing.

And if you think the stock 3 points are unsafe, I've been through a very bad roll over down a 700 yard drop cliff and survived b/c I had my belt on in a regular 4 door sedan.

There is nothing unsafe about the stock radiator hoses. The only extra safety you will get from these samco hoses is some mystical eased sense of mind that ya spent your money on a part that didn't need to be upgraded for extra safety. If it wins points in car shows, then who cares but if you say it's for extra safety, you are incorrect.

A Samco hose SET can be bought for $115 for AP1. They are not all that expensive.

Dude, I don't mean to be harsh but get your head out of your *** and think about it. Will upgrading your wheels to triple plated chrome 20" give you an axtra safety margin?

Get my head out of my ***. Take a look in the mirror. At least make an argument that's relevant. What does chrome rims have to do with real race equipment. I've never seen chrome rims on a race car but I've seen Samco/Spoon radiator hoses on some. Your turn.

there is nothing relevant with the necessecity of safety in upgrading to samco radiator hoses. I sound like a broken record playing in a room filled with 5ft thick walls of concrete.

Guy - calm down - simple fact of the matter - you don't need Samco radiator hoses for racing. Rubber hoses even in fair condition work quite well. The Samco hoses, while prettier and a little more durable, are still none the less unnecessary.

Doesn't it though, a few of those, a nice tall glass of whole milk, and then - a nap. Relaxation at it's finest.
