Default rotated tires, now steering wheel shakes 50+mph

ok, heres the deal, i had warped rotors, and i know how those feel, cause i had them before and this is the second time i fixed it with new rotors and pads, and afterwards it feels fine when braking, its no longer shaking while braking, but..................while i had the car on all 4 jackstands, i also went ahead and rotated the tires (switched the backs to the fronts), and going to work this morning, everything felt smooth as far as ride when going 30-40 mph, but when i hit the highway the steering wheel started shaking a lot when i go past 50+ mph

so is does usually mean wheels off balance? cause when i brake there is no shaking, that parts smooth, its just steering wheel shake at highway speeds??

i did notice one wheel on the front has kind of worn on the outeredge, but looks decent enough. i'm pretty sure its not the brakes, cause i did those by the book with torque wrench and everything, and also since it does'nt shake when braking, just needed some confirmation on what to check, thanks

your wore tire can cause it to shake as wheel.

the front wheels are the ones that shake, and before they were on the back, i just trotated wheels from back to front, ...........so even if they are off balance, does that mean you can only feel if its off balance if they are on the front? cause i did'nt feel this when those same 2 wheels were on the back? thats weird

another thing to add is that it actually rides straight, like if you let go of the wheel for a sec on the highway, it does'nt even drift to the side, it seems whenever i had an alignment issue it drifted to the side, so i don't know if its that, it just shakes the steering wheel over 50mph, and then under 40mph its smooth and also smooth when braking.

so far i think wheel balance and maybe new tires, but only thing weird to me is how those wheels were on the back and felt fine but the replys help pinpoint it, thanks
