Default SCCA double school weather ...

So far it looks like we will be rain free, but there is a bunch of green on the SE radar.

SPiFF, who's sunroof plug is not sealed and has no rain tyres ....

Just use street tires. Anything with grooved tread.
Its a school, it doesn't matter if you don't win. You're just trying to demonstate competence.

Scott, whose Dirt Stockers are staying at home this weekend.

Oh, aye. Mr. Can't-Even-Bother-Putting-The-Suspension-On-The-Car is worried about being wet. A tube of silicone sealant is $1.40. I spent 2 hours caulking everything on the new sunroof panel and it still leaked. Then I figured out that water was coming in through the center of the rivet holes. Problem solved. Until it rains again.
Let me know if you want me to bring the caulking gun.

Like 30 bucks at KMart/WallyMart/Autozone for a car cover and you'll be fine. No matter what you do, its going to get wet in the car when you are moving. Towing, even with an open trailer through a constant rain for several hours (windows up as good as possible) typically only gets the floor wet at most.

A little race car trick...

Take a pitcher of water and dump some of it in your floorboard. Go to the spot where it all puddles and drill a small hole.
Repeat maneuver for each area of floor in the car. Make sure theres nothing like... oh... a gas tank or a brake line under where you are drilling. That would kind of suck.

Wet=OK.
A Pool in your Car=Sucks.

Should I drill through the carpet, too? Or take it out and then drill the hole? What about the floor mat?

If you want to go through the carpet, use a punch, then drill the floor. The drill will start ripping the carpet out of the side rails as it winds the carpeting around the drill bit.
Besides, I've seen a 32oz big gulp sit on top of auto carpeting before. Water will most definitely pool up on it.
