afc... i know how it works. sorta.
How does afc work exactly?
i know it intercepts the signal coming from the map sensor and modifies it to allow more fuel to go into the engine cause the motor thinks there is more air, but what does the afc do in order to cause that effect?
does it increase the voltage going into the ecu? or decrease it? how does the ECU interprite voltage coming out of the map sensor!

map low voltage = low pres/vacuum
map high voltage = high pres
minimum is ~0V, max is ~5V
VAFC reads MAP voltage, and calculates new map voltage. ex you have it set at 10%, Map output is 3V
3V x (1 + .1) = 3.3V output

so the voltage increases and more fuel is added niceeee
also isnt there a proplem with the ecu advancing timing (ignition) because it thinks that its somewher that its not?
is there a way to makeshift a boost dependant retard other than MSD or is there another alternative
