i have a gsr tranny and its missin second gear can i put a ls second gear in to teh gsr trannnny and will the ls chasising fit the gsr tranny

 

LS casings and B16 casings are the same. I believe the GSR casing uses different shims for the diff, but I'm not positive. If so, just swap the shims from the diff to the case you are going to use. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong

 

WHAT ABOUT THE GEARS I HEARD FIRST AND SECOND ARE CONECTED TO TEH SHAFT ORRR WHAT IF I TAKE THE THIRD THRU 5TH FROM THE GSR TRANNY AND PUT IT INTO TEH LS TRANNY

 

Man I hate all caps. The reason why I didn't answer that parts was cause I wasn't definite. But I'm pretty sure they cant be switched. I thinkg the only one that can be switched is the final drive.

 

You could probably get away with replacing the countershaft side 2nd gear and/or synchro set on the GSR trans and leaving it at that. Less work that way.

 

so what does that mean put the gears into the gsr trany or ls

 

Have you got the whole transmission or just the gearset? If you have the whole gearbox, I would just fix what's broken.
