I would just stick to the GSR, it's just about perfect for both street and strip use... We run a straight GSR from ~350-550whp... After that bigger slicks are normally required which on a street car normally work better with a B16 tranny... I'm not at all happy with any of the results we've gotten from LS trannies so I can't help you there... You're going to have the power so just bring wheel/tire diameter (rollout) into play with your tranny selection as it makes a huge difference... Lane's car makes 375whp with his stock sleeved B18C on 12lbs... He runs 24.5x9x13 slicks with a straight GSR tranny (w/ ATS LSD) and the combination works just fine (consistent 11.50's in his full inteior EJ6 weighing in at 2600lbs.)... Just my $0.02
thanks bro u always have great input
but i m thinking about changeing the final drive in the ls tranny.
i woulding if anyone has done this(im sure someone has)

Just to clear things up a bit, it really doesn't matter what YS1 FD you're talking about (whether it be the LS/GS/RS or more commonly the B17A's tranny)... Like I said, it really doesn't matter because just about every other tranny excluding the Y1 and S80's (4.785 JDM ITR and '94+ 4.266 LS/GS/RS which you have)...
Though it is hard to gauge off of these, I'll do the best I can to explain... First is a straight LS/GS/RS tranny which I chose to measure the ACTUAL GROUND speed at ~8500rpm (typical FI shift point) on 24.5" tall slicks... As you can see the FD doesn't affect the gearing all that much as the ratio is only 0.134:1 off... As you can see from my table 1st and 2nd would probably feel just about the same but then 3rd and 4th are definately still taller than the GSR... It depends on your setup but I'm sure that you would still be faster with the straight GSR... As I'm sure you are aware those are definately not the gears you want to drop out of boost or be loading too hard... In the end the decision is going to be up to you and if that's what you want I say go for it... It's just from all of my experience we've done better with the VTEC trannies... Good Luck
S80 (nonVTEC)
1st: 46mph, 2nd: 78mph, 3rd: 117mph, 4th: 154mph
S80 (nonVTEC w/ 4.40 FD)
1st: 45mph, 2nd: 76mph, 3rd: 114mph, 4th: 149mph
S80 (B18C1)
1st: 45mph, 2nd: 76mph, 3rd: 106mph, 4th: 140mph

Either YS1 whether it's the B17A's tranny or the nonVTEC (LS/GS/RS) has a 4.40 FD... I've never once heard of the 4.785 in a YS1... Perhaps the S80 '98+ JDM ITR but that's it...
Just to add this, if you did have a 4.785 FD in an LS/GS/RS tranny as shown before the actual ground speed attainable at 8500rpm on 24.5" tall slicks is...
S80 (nonVTEC w/ 4.785 FD)
1st: 41mph, 2nd: 70mph, 3rd: 105mph, 4th: 137mph
This is close but still not quite as tight as an S4C ('99-2000 Si)

do u think i should sell both trannys instead of useing the final drive and just buy a b16 with lsd or itr tranny?
i mean i would just use the ys1 but its at 5000rpm on the freeway going 80!
and plus i would have to buy a hydro to cable setup

Like I said personally I would just stick with the GSR... With 350-400whp you don't really need 26" slicks where a shorter geared tranny is required... If you plan to use 24.5-25" slicks you'll still be best off with a GSR... Invest in a Quaife LSD and you'll be set... If you don't want to spend the money try an ITR (with a stock LSD) and you should have close the same results... It does however have a little tighter gearing... You also could swap in a new 5th but it's up to you... At the track you should do everything not to have to put it into 5th and you really shouldn't have to if you're making 350-400 with a GSR tranny... You definately would not want an LS 5th if you're putting it into your last gear at the end of the track... As I mentioned before Lane's 375whp setup works perfect with a GSR tranny and 24.5" slicks... He's trapping at 125 leaving about ~12mph if you're only reving to ~8500rpm...
