Default Turbo setup complete

Fired her up today.... WOOT!

Here's some pics. Enjoy

Here's a tech question in hopes of my thread not getting locked

Should I go ahead and completely remove the center section of the bumper for the intercooler? There's about 3/4 of an inch of intercooler core that is being covered by the very bottom portion.......

Which turbo is that? And please don't say t3/t4. I hate when I go to the street races and ask someone what turbo they have they say "t3/t4" Do you have any more pics of the car?

Leave the bumper as is. That little bit of plastic won't make any real difference, plus the more stock it looks, the less 'bad' attention you will receive.

Goood job

I spy a Revhard Intake manifold

Looks nice, looks like quite a bit of weight reduction under the hood

The turbo is a Precision SC50.

Ok, so the bumper stays "as is" Although I still need to cut a few places on the corners for the IC pipes to clear a little better.

Thanks guys

whiteblur, i'm building one just like it, a few questions that you could hopefully help me out with. Is that the stock bumper (how much had to be modified to make it fit). Also, as a side note, how did u hook up the fuel pressure guage to the filter. Thanks.

The bumper is a OEM replica... I put the OEM and the replica side by side and couldn't tell a bit of difference.

The IC is a Drag intercooler I bought from ImportParts.com.

Their is a fitting on top of the fuel filter in which the FP gauge screws into.

Man with 10:5:1 compression that thing must spool up like a jet. When I originally sent my engine to Golden Eagle to be built I was going with 10:6:1, but I called them back and punked out.

Could you describe how it rides? What do you think of the turbo?

I wanted to build a higher comp ratio turbo'd engine. I actually wanted to build a 10.5:1 engine. So how does that thing spool? is it running pretty smooth or what?

I haven't drove it hard yet because it needs to be tuned first. I will have the car tuned on Friday hopefully. The response from the turbo should be quick enough for me

Not the BOV itself just the vaccum nipple on the side of it. I'm going to make a bracket for it to pull it away about 1/4 inch from the frame.

i am running 10.5 or 10.2:1 what ever is stock in a b16 5mill block but i really like how quick the turbo comes up with with this comp. and u don't notice lag as much down low before the turbo comes on drives like a stock b16 but the down side is that you can not make quite as much power up top but i run my car down the road more then at the track and if i go to the track it is a auto X

just my 2 cents
