Default B18C5 and ITR exhaust into a DB1 Integra?(or DA)

I was wonder how hard it would be to put a 2000 USDM B18C5 into my 1990 DB1 4 door integra? The car is already wired for OBD1.

I was also wondering if the ITR exhaust would bolt up to the 4 door?

It bolts right in. You will need however, a cable vtec transmission (hydro tranny wont work) obd 1 vtec ecu, obd 1 distributer, wire for vtec selenoid, knock sensor, and a few various hoses and such. A b18c5 is obd2 though, so you will need to make it obd1.

I planned on getting the Hydro tranny conversion.

Would it be way to much from going OBD1 to OBD2?

to my knowledge no one has made a tranny conversion for the 2nd gen. rumors had it that HAS or place racing were making one but havent ever seen one. easier to route would be to get a vtec cable tranny might as well spend a little more and get one with a oem lsd.

To my knowledge only HASport has made a Cable to Hydro conversion, and that was only for EF's. I hope someones comes our with one for a DA, i'll get one in a heartbeat.

If you can get your hands on a 92-93 ys1 manual tranny, you can put all the gears from a ITR hydro tranny into a that ys1 cable tranny with a VERY little mod

If it works for an EF, I don't see why it won't work for a DA. I still wouldn't go that route though. There's nothing wrong with a VTEC YS1.

THe Hydro kit wont work for a DA because the one for EF's is made to drop a Bseries Hydro tranny into an engine bay meant for a Cable SOHC motor. So While it allows the use of a Hydro tranny, it also changes the location on the tranny mount because the stock engine was SOHC

Gabe_ on this board is in the process of putting a JDM R into his DA.

He is using the cable GSR YS1 tranny with a Quaife LSD and running the motor OBD1. You can use all the OBD2 electronics (distributor, injectors, o2), but just run them OBD1 (required some cutting a splicing).

Yes I am... the GSR YS1 has comparable gearing to the ITR tranny... and with the Quaife, I think it will be on par. Everything should be in the car within the next month or two. I will post up some pics when I get it all running.
