Default wtf, burning oil again

i just got a bunch of stuff done to the car at a garage recently

got the heads milled, all the gasket and valves replaced, etc

the first 2 week i got the car, i regularly checked everything out to see if anything might go wrong....but nothing happened and everything was cool

then 2 week later, all of a sudden my oil level was super low....i was down to like 1/2 litre of oil. i didnt drive the car hard at all since i got it back but i dont see what could have cause it to burn that much oil. there isnt any leaks on the car.

and i can hear this little flapping noise from the engine...althought it's very faint. i think it could be the valve, but i got those replaced thought.....

any suggestions?

btw, this year my car has been a bitch!

oh yeah, forgot to add, i was running with a bad o2 sensor for a few weeks, but just got it replaced

and today on an intersection, the car all of a sudden lost power (then the oil and battery lights came on for a few secs before going away). i waited a few seconds, then i got it going again (no it didnt stall and i didnt restart it)

you know where do rebuilt the top end, most of the time the bottom end will need to be rebuilt too. cause right now you top end created a lot of pressure, some thing got to give.

did you replace the valve seals?
if so maybe they were not installed correctly or damaged?

Did it burn oil before?

Could be rings.

My motor doesnt have leaks either and never used to burnt oil, until now. But its because I ran it very rich for a month and wiped the rings out. Maybe running rich with no o2 sensor caused you to burn an access amount of oil. Try an oil change with maybe a 10w40 and keep notice of the oil level. Also when you a flooring it watch your rear view for any signs of burning oil.

thats my .02 But I hope things get better for you. Good Luck

yeah, the valve seals were replaced, but i wasnt there to look at it cause i was too busy at work, plus it took him forever to do them.

i'm going to call the dude tomorrow and see if he will look at it again this week......i never burned oil before.....i shouldnt really have burned this much after......i was hoping it's something small

hmm,
seems that my car is doing the same.
d15b7.
i have a flapping noise too,
but i'm pretty sure its my water pump.
dripping coolant from that very area.
was about to change it but I couldnt get my crank pulley bolt off, hehe.

I burn oil too though,
AND I was running super rich for a few months also!

**** hope I didnt crap out my rings...

WTF. i think it hides in the cylinder head.

maybe your new pump got crapped out somehow?

your coolant loss sounds just like mine,
and it looks as if mine isnt leaking also.

thing is, it only leaks when its running.

so you need to check around the timingbelt right after you turn off the car for any signs of coolant.
