"turbo civic???
since i had replaced my head gasket that i had blown, i seem to be burning oil. it smells like my other car that i had that was burning oil. what are good suggestions to check to see if i really am burning oil. what should i do. change the piston rings, and is it hard. please help.. where could i look to see if there are already built heads for turbo. thanks..

If you're burning oil right when you start the car up, it's mostlikely your valve seals. If you burn oil whenever you get on it, or retard the engine (high vacuum) then it could be piston rings. Changing the piston rings is a big. Requires you tear apart the bottom end, have the cylinders honed and then reassemble.
ALSO: since you've pulled off the head to replace the headgasket, have you gone back and retorqued the head after 100 miles or so?

You can drive the car and have someone else drive behind you and they will be able to see blue ish smoke come out your tail pipe, that will be and indication that your motor is burning oil given that your pvc canister is not clog or something, do a compression check and also check your spark plug, these are some of the things I would check.
