Default Thoughts on boosting an A6?

So I'm getting my tax return soon and I'm thinking about boosting my rex. I did a search and couldn't find anything. My budget will be about $1500...so here is what I'm thinking:

Turbo ??? What are you guys running? (something cheap!!!)
Wastegate Tial 38mm
Manifold off brand tubular
Custom piping
Custom cooler
AFC running DSM 450's
BOV greddy type S
Custom downpipe
PLX Devices wideband O2
missing link
Gasktes ect...
Anything I missed???

Thanks for your help

I say go for it, my buddy (brent g on this board) had a boosted a6. his was a junkyard setup and it pushed real decent power. Easily owned my b18b rex with bolt-ons. He made it all summer beating the hell out if it using shitty fuel management. Put together or buy a decent safe setup and have fun with it. You will suprise alot of people with your "stock motor"

you'll need some oil lines, did you mention charge pipes? ummmmI have smc500 if you wanna buy that instead of afc. I also have a t3 flanged tubular equal length D-series manifold with 35mm tial/deltagate flange for sale if youare interested, but you could get away with a t25 turbo and be happy I think.

Wouldn't the ECU still see boost and throw CEL?

I used
14B turbo (rebuilt)
1g dsm BOV (used)
1g dsm SMIC (used)
dsm 450's (used)
AFC (almost new)
custom manifold with external WG from rpi (new)
deltagate WG (new)
custom pipes and 3 inch exhaust with 3 inch thermal (new)
auto meter guages (new)
blitz turbo timer (new)

Total cost around $1300.
Shop well and you can have a good set up.

How do you like the 14B???

EDIT: As far as throwing a code above 12-14 LBS, we boosted a 93 prelude without using a missing link and right at boost transition we would get a MAP code. So is that only with the OBD0 ECU's that don't code until that boost level?

I got my setup a couple weeks ago, it isn't installed yet:
Apexi kit, JohnnyRaceCar fmic, SAFC, DSM 450s, MBC, Apexi BOV, charge pipes, DP, etc...the complete setup for $1800.
Go for it, you should definitely be able to pull it off with $1500. BTW - isn't the hack good to around 10 psi?

http://www.turbod16.com

I'm in the initial buildup stages of doing a junkyard turbo for my d16a6, its my first time and the going is slow.

I picked up the Mitsu Te04h, on me, but I was anxious for a turbo. The turbo begins to boost at 2k and stops at 6k. Too far from peak power for an a6, by my standards.
