SRR final drive who has one ??? Im going to be at around 300-350whp
Im thinkin of gettin the 4.7 for the series and im wondering if that would be a good combo for a car with 300-350hp??

I say no. You're going to have plenty of power to turn the wheels into wheelsmoke anyway and I think traction is going to be a SERIOUS issue at 300+ whp. Plus, you're going to kill your highway cruising MPG.
yea I would say thats too high for that much power. Your tires will just spin through the first couple of gears.
I'm not sure what kinda engine/transmission you are talking about but i think that a 4.7 FD will generally shorten your gears and as other people pointed out it would probably be a bad idea with 300-350whp. I say keep your stock FD, you may wanna tell us what it is first though and what engine/trans you have.

Longer gears are only better for acceleration when you can no longer get traction with the short gears you have. End of story.

The motor is a D16Y8 in a 99 civic 4 door im probly going to stay with the stock FD due to the fact that if i change the FD ill be going threw the gears faster and loose traction faster.
Ill be on 205/40ZR 17 Falken FK-451 so i know that if put alot of power on them they will just spin.

No joke?? I figured cruising around way up there in the rev range would be hard on it. I still get close to 40mpg in my turbo y7 hatchy, so I dunno. Guess I was wrong...just this once though.

Yeah, mine was about the same also. But it hurt to rev the motor at 4,500-5,000 RPM on my 400 miles trip!

:shrugs: I dunno, I figured that keeping the motor at such high revs for such a long period of time (Approx 4 1/2- 5 hrs) wouldn't be too good for the motor's health in general. Am I wrong, Chad?

no chad. i believe keepin your car at 5k rpm for 4 to 5 hours is also bad on your motor, make it to hot and to much friction. word, that's it.
try my ats tranny 5500 at 70 mph hehe
it should be fine but then again I dont boost but 4500 rpms is not something to put your panties in bunch just keep it oiled and tune it and you should be fine
