D series tranny question??

Default D series tranny question??

Will a d15 vtec-e tranny fit on a d16y engine? will it bolt right up??

Yes, all D series trannies are interchangeable, but I hope you are doing this for either 1. economy, or 2. you have the tranny lying around. It's going to make your car dogshit slow.

just the tranny will bolt right up like Ricey said....but there are a few different things....

the reverse plugs are diff, just use the d16y ones....
the VSS plugs are diff, but just use the current d16y ones...

just fyi, you probably know all this....

ANd yes the JDM vtec e tranny is gear'd way long!! I hit like 100mph in my vx tranny, they are identical.....I"m guessing your probably figuring your getting the JDM SOHC tranny with optional LSD etc etc......but the vtec-e is not that tranny...
