rolled and crashed
i got a 95 honda passport which i drive in the winter. coming back from snowboarding i rolled it 1/2 times on its hood. engine shut off though. what usaully happens when there is a roll over. my engine doesn't crank?? wheres the fuel shut off switch at. thanks guys
the fuel cut-off is in the back, around the fuel filler area, but inside. behind a plastic cover.
see you're from logan. where did you go skiing? was it with this storm we had over the weekend?

i was coming from beaver but i go to the canyons and park city all the time. it was actually like a month ago. how do i know if there is internal engine damage. some one told me to check try to turn the crank manually. it seems like something is making so it doesn't crank. don't know what it could be
there shouldn't be any internal engine damage done. oil could have gotten above the combustion chambers, but it would burn out. coolant can't get in the combustion chamber unless you cracked the block(highly unlikely) or such. if you had flooded the motor(too much gasoline in the c.c.) it would work itself out. check the spark plugs, check the belts, check the battery. you may want to call the honda dealer or if you know any honda shops in your area. i am not aware of any decent ones in the salt lake valley. also, try the isuzu dealer, the passport is an isuzu rodeo.
but, it sounds like you have no fuel delivery. what does it do when you turn the key? if it wants to start, but can't. its fuel. if it just won't do anything but the accessories(lights, radio, etc) come on, could be a battery or electrical problem.
fuel cut-off is designed so that if there is a spark, no fuel will catch fire.
hope that helps some. my parents live in PC. i am living at the U right now. learning to ski. i like brighton. the PC resorts are pricey for a beginner like me.

i looked and the is only one plastic cover and its for the jack. i called the local honda dealer and they said they don't think there is a shut off switch. there must be one. please help. what else could it be?
sorry about the mis-info on the where the fuel cut-off switch is. that seems to be where it is on the honda/acura's that have been in our house. same with the mercedes' we've had. i did talk to a buddy who has an isuzu rodeo for trail use... he said they started putting them in the newer models(i think 98+). you may want to check your fuel pump and/or fuel filter.
and you might want to invest in a chilton's or helms manual.
