Code 42 and Hunting Idle

Code 42 and Hunting Idle
I am running code 42 (oxygen sensor heater) and i have hunting idle. I was wondering if these have anything to do with each other. I have a VX hatch with a D16Z6 swap but i havent changed to a 4 wire O2 yet. Thanks for all your help.
