Default good mileage to begin using synthetic oil...

the motor is a freshly rebuilt ls/vtec, of which i performed the first oil change at 50 miles, which was pretty black due to the amount of moly lube from the assembly process. Oil looks beautiful now, but i was wondering what a good mileage would be to begin using synthetic oil?

more power, better gas milage, more protection.

http://www.torcousa.com can provide you more info. That's what I and many racers/enthusiasts use nowadays.

yes this can be true for a worn in motor
but not for freashly done

i have a build ls/vtec that has only 1400 miles on it
and still using 5w-20 honda dealer oil

because u need to get that motor going with something thin not thick yet

maybe at 3000 as posted before or 5000
