oil to use for breakin in a LS/VTEC
i about to get done with my lsvtec and im just preparing parts and fluid. i was wondering does anyone know what kind of good brand motor oil and tranny oil to put when doing a breakin. a lot of people recommend the oil with out synthetic. is that right.

Yeah, just go to autozone and pick up a few quarts of castrol. Synthetic oil coats the metal a little too well, and prevents the engine components from seating. Put -at least- 1000 miles on it before switching.

i just broke in my motor, i have a b16a head on a b18c1 block, i used valvoline all climate 10w-30 for the first 500 miles, then i changed the oil and filter and put in valvoline vr4 race oil 20w-50 for next 500 miles, then did the same thing again.
