burst into flames this weekend @ the CMI event on Sat. Burned up the front of the car pretty good. Don't know if they had it fixed and running on sunday.

you see the motor? I`m not sure if it`s done yet, but I hear it has, or it`s gonna have, twin chargers by jackson.

 

ouch sounds expensive to fix. That guy is richer than God though, I'm sure it will be fixed rather soon.

When is that guy gonna get that thing in the 7's. All this hype on this car and he only runs a mid -high 8. That's not good considering how much was spent on this car. I've heard 400K..

 

Well stay NA and get a N1 engine they run from 450-480hp.

 

It had Jackson Racing stickers all over it and they were at the race but I didn't get a chance to look at the motor.

 

You have to take in account that its fairly new, and he must still be in the stages of tuning, and finding the best setup... also to my knowledge, this has never been done before... So in IMO i think mid 8 sec runs for a first is pretty damn good.. just wait till its all tweaked !

 

You would just have to launch it at higher RPMs from launch. Hell the WRC rally car is not drag car but will do 0-60 in 3 sec flat and 3.3 sec in the dirt.

hahahaha I was at the CMI event that last weekened when it happened. Everyone was going crazy about it. All that was ruined from what I heard was his graphics and some carbon fiber off the body. It blew up during qualifing on Sat and Sun was the main event. Sat night after the disaster his team packed up and took off. Why? Everyone has no idea, I guess Sac town was too getto and he didn't want to race with screwed up graphics. The funny part about the whole event was that Oscar Jackson was at the event and witnessed the whole thing! hahahaha

 

Sounds like an improvement.

 

I got a question: how does one become the "greatest drag driver"??? That's like becoming the world's best bungee jumper.

I think driving a car for an 8 second pass is just a little more difficult than jumping from a bridge.

I've heard right now that car is turbocharged. I think the twin blown motor is not due in the car till next season. Could be wrong...

I thought that AEM's John Concialdi was responsible for the motor buildup for Adam's NSX?
