Default OT- Spoon Cluster

I know this is off topic for the ITR, but most of the knowledge resides in this forum.
Does Spoon make dash clusters for the EG?

Thanks,
James

I didnt think they did, and I heard the easiest way to get a Spoon cluster into an EG is to swap over a whole integra DC dash assembly, and thus the Spoon DC console drops right in.

sounds like a pain in the ****, but I have heard of only a few brave souls who tackled a DC cluster into an EG.
the chiseling and wrestling to get a DC cluster to fit inside an EG dash... they all said they would not wish that torture on anyone.

Spoon does not make a cluster for the EG.
Swapping in an s2000 Spoon Cluster, or DC2 dash would be the best bet if u want Spoon.
However, u can go with an SiRII cluster which i believe has a 9000rpm tach

I have a 9000rpm tach in my 94 civic coupe already. I was just basically looking into the spoon cluster.
By the way. When did the spoon site go to an english version. I'm glad they did. I was tired of just looking at the pics. Nice to be able to read it now.

HAHA

ah you guys are cacks! j/k!

i have HEARD spoon made (past tense here) a cluster for the eg but ive heard its as rare as chicken teeth. dont know if its true or not.

if you get creative and can work w/ your hands and bondo, little bit of sanding and painting and you get something like this http://community-2.webtv.net/Lucas56...idclusterpics/

its not my car but this came out excellent.its a cross hybrid gsr/civic cluster.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I am tired and I've been dumb before - what do you do with the mileage when you install a new cluster? Do they just crank up the milage to match what was taken out or (I'm assuming this may be it) is the odometer seperate from the gauge cluster and does not change?

odo is on the cluster, so you pop in a new one, you have either zero miles or whatever was on the cluster previous (if a used one was bought). It goes by honesty to say whatever miles you have after you transfer clusters. I wouldn't count on the stealership to install that. Keep in mind that the Ek cluster is for the CTR and the DC2 is for the ITR so some lights on the cluster wont work exactly the same. Slightly different wiring harness, but everything else is the same. Just a few lights.

when the dealer installs a new cluster they are by law required to rivet a plaque on the side of the door indicating the original clusters milage.

The 00-01 models require you to remove the Gauges and tranfer them to the OEM housing or switch the Circuit film on the back. Either way will work, The switching of the film is the easiest.

When you say switching film, what film? electronic film?
can the Speedo gauges be transfered from USDM model to Spoon so that I can retain the MPH and mileage counter? is it hard?
Thanks Mike!

Sorry, Yes the electronic film. You could switch the gauges to work that way but its alot of work and you dont want to screw it up.
