Default socketed ecu with hondata

Im buying hondata for the turbo setup Im building, I'll be running the stock gsr manifold so my question is, when I buy a ecu to socket does it matter if its a p28 or p72 when running hondata. p28's are just so much cheaper and easier to find. Or should I just be looking into a straight IM anyway? tia

i would contact hondata about that....tell them your plans/set up...and then ask them which ecu you should have socketed..........

The p28 wont be able to control the secondary runners on the im. So you will have to take them out in order to use the p28!

Is there a way to "gut" the stock IM for straight runners? I mean when I get hondata, run boost and tune it will be a whole different setup then what the stock n/a gsr is working with...hmmm...

well the skunk2 is great for my long term goals but right now Im trying to buy turbo setup piece by piece and I might factor that in, but if I can avoid it then I will...
