Go to the Prelude forum and search for the H23 VTEC thread. You will see that there is A LOT more work than just slapping the H22 head on it.

Just go with the H22. That's what I did.

thats for sure, you have to do alot to make an H23/h22vtec. I should know i have a fully built one sitting on a crate in my garage. i was told that it was just an easy do. slap the head on, change a couple wires and good to go. not true. you have to almost buy everything from the h22 block. you have to have the h22 waterpump, h22 crank gear,. h22 head gasket, h22 head bolts, h22 timing belt, some use the auto tentioner from h22 but i use my manuel from h23, also have to have the h22 waterpipe and still have to run a few wires from ecu out. so yea, it gets into some money. someone also said u needed the h22 distributor and wires but im not sure, some said they were the same. anywho, not that i bought all that stuff and did it, im trying to figure out if i really want it now. ????? or sell it???? or put it in my 92 accord????

the prelude forum has a LOT of info on it, there are at least a dozen threads with write ups and more.

Why even go through all of the work just boost that motor. I have seen really good number from the h23 power plant and some will even argue that the h23 is a better motor for boosting than the h22. (but not me) You have a good power plant save the money and use it to mod the motor you have (just my 2 cents).
