Default My new Sparco **** is a short shifter.

For a while now I've had this shift **** from a 2003 Accord coupe 6-spd, Its the **** in the little storage place below the e-brake handle. I also have the DC-Sports shoft shift adapter that really shortens the throw front to back. The shifter movement from side to side is not much anyway. I wanted to lower the height of the shifter stalk, I was going to gut the threads off the shift lever and install a new shift **** that uses set screws to hold it in place. I got a new Sparc **** but whe removed the Accord **** I realized the factory **** is only a little over 1.25" deep. And the Sparco **** has a 3" internal shaft...So when I set it in place its perfect...And I didn't need to cut any threads off

Here is the Sparco **** on with the old **** in view.

Here is the Sparco ****, the lower rubber ring is what hides the (3) set screws

Now I need your help, what looks better? The pic above or the one below. I pulled the leather up and around the ****, I used a zip-tie where the large rubber ring was and then pulled it back over the ****...Does it look better?

Thanks guys...

I got the idea from my old 88 1/2 Turbo Supra...You can make a short shifter really easily on those vehicles...
But I totaled it

I'm not crazy about the fact that the color is a bit off from the rest of the interior, but it does look nice.

The **** looked more gun-metal colored on the Sparco site, when its in the car it looks like blued steel....
