Hello all:

The heater/A.C. push buttons do not light up (all the others do). I can remove the key caps and see the bulbs but they are not accessible. What's the way to get at those bulbs?

Thanks but yes I did check the fuses. All other dash lamps work. I do not think there would be a separate fuse for just 5 or 6 buttons. Since they are all supposed to respond to the rheostat (they do on the 2 other Honda Accords that I own), they are all on the same circuit. I'll recheck, though.

ive never taken apart the dash....only the center counsole + door panels.......get a haynes/helms/chiltons manual.....its a big help when tackeling projects like that

EDIT: do they light up if the headlights are on/off ......also, the AC and Defrosters dont always light up....they automatically shut off after there on for a while, and the defrosters dont work untill the eignine is warm (aka the lights wont turn on)

 

You can access the whole heater control box by taking the middle trim piece off(it also spans the instrument cluster for 4th gen). After that, there are 4 screws holding it in place. Then, pull the box out just far enough to unplug the 2 wire harnesses in the rear. Now you should be able to accesss the bulbs.
