Default integra: crashworthiness and frame damage?

i know the integra is fairly safe in low speed accidents (<35mph). my question is how do they fare after accident damage has been repaired? how well do integras perform after their frame has been bent and subsequently straightened? will a repaired car run the same as new?
i'm looking at a 2001 itr (11k miles) that has never been raced but was involved in an accident. it's left front end frame (just forward of the left wheel/suspension) was slightly bent inward. the frame has been repaired by a good body shop and the body work looks new. do you think the car will run true on the track? how much $ is worth?

I think Warren's car was a little banged up underneath after he had his little incident, but I'm not sure. But I have been in his passenger seat and can attest that it is a monster on the track.

Yeah, my car was tweaked a good amount. They tend to pull back to spec pretty easily, but you may have some extra creaks and rattles and crap (not that I care). If it's your street car though, take it out for a test drive, and make sure they're going to drop the price significantly.

i saw pictures of the damage: the front left/right quarterpanels, hood, and bumper all were replaced. the frame damage was just forward of the front wheel and was pushed in far enough to touch the crank pulley. think it will run true now?
assuming the car was worth $22-23K prior to the crash, how much do you think it's worth now?

i just did some front end damage to my car and bent the frame slightly. It still drives and handles fine, but it just bothers me knowing that the frame is bent. I know the body shop can bring it back into spec, but will it ever be the same again?

personally, if the frame on my car got bent in an accdent, if i had the choice of reparing it, or writing it off as a total wreck, I think id rather write it off...It would always bother me, knowing the car will never be the same.. and as much as i love the car.. id rather start over. my $0.02

I was hit by a truck doing 45 MPH in my 2000 Type-R and the frame was not horrible, but definately needed fixing. Myself and the passenger escaped with minor injuries though.

As far as I know the current owner of the wrecked car was going to use it on the track, so the frame damage cannot be that bad.

Have it bent back to spec. I bet it'll be fine.

The lower half of my radiator was up against the engine. The passenger's side suspension was totalled front and back. The frame was tweaked by about 2 inches.

It's still fast as stink though, and the chassis feels great, of couse I have a full blown cage in mine. I know another person who wrecked his Grand-Am prepped ITR at the Glen, and had it pulled back to spec. He says it's better now than it ever was.

It's a bit different for a daily driver, in that you may have creaks and groans, but I wouldn't worry much about the chassis itself.

thanks warren, you are giving me hope. I was really considering selling my car when i get it back from the body shop. i will most likely keep it though, i can't afford to lose any money on it.
