I bought a cheap CF hood for my 90 Civic. When I put it on the car it was bowed up along the tops of the fenders and sat too low by the headlights. I put some spacers under the low spots and drove the car all last summer. The high spots have come down and line up not to bad with the fenders. The fitment by the headlights is still bad. Is there any way to change the "curve" of the hood? Can you heat it? Cut the backside? any help on this would be great. This is NOT a show car but we all want our cars to look as good as we can make them.

I paid $300 for it and it looks like I am stuck with a bad fit. Isn't there any way to make it fit better. I know I should have bought a better hood, but isn't there some way to make this one fit a little better?

Actually he paid 300. So there's only a little bit of truth to that. My hood = cheaper and better, but I digress.
Just try and sell it for 50 bucks to some fool on ebay and save up for a better hood.

well CF hoods are pretty much useless, unless you buy it just because it looks s00per cool, save the cash for REAL modifications. [/opinion]
