Solid Motor Mounts.. Mugen or Spoon? Need help Quick
I was at the strip on Saturday and my car was hopping really bad of the line. Turns out that my inserts were giving way under the stress, especially since my mount was already snapped. To make a long story short I now am going to get a solid mount set from either Mugen or Spoon. Can anybody share any experience with either? Are they really and different from each other as far as rigidy.
I need to purchase by the end of the day today so any help would be greatly appreciated. Need to have in my possession by Friday to use on Saturday.

Pretty good yourself. I did not know that we could race on Sunday's. I might have to do that more often. Are you going next Saturday?

spoon are stiffer than mugens. I have the spoons and love them.
I dont' know if they are worth the price though. But then again, you have to replace them anyways. They probably wont' cost much more than stock. If you get stock though, you will only have to buy one.

I had the mount off and the rubber core was seperated from the aluminum covering in all places, but one and that was almost gone.
Yes, a new stock mount would be $166. I thought about that, but decided why deal with the hassle. Might as well spend a little more and not have to worry about the inserts coming loose or having it happen again.
Thought about trying the warranty route, but would have been to big a hassle since I have a few aftermarket parts on the car. If something big had happened I would have used the warranty if possible.

i love my Mugen motor mounts. excellent quality, look almost identical to stock. although, there is noticable vibration at idle, it is not that bad. it won't rattle fillings loose. they come highly recommended from me. as far as spoons mounts go, i have no experience with them. my guess is they would be similair. that would mean probably $400 like the mugen mounts
