Default need HELP..MAJOR tranny problem

ok guys..PLEASE help me out. i have a 95 integra and the tranny is messed up. i wanna get it down to the bone of what the problem is. it is impossible to put the car in ANY gear even though the clutch pedal is pressed down ALL the way. i have to start the car IN a gear to get the car running...and then i have to rev reallllllly high just to get my car into another gear while driving. now..i wanna know if it's my gears thats all messed up or is it the pressure plate or throwout bearing. oh yeah, by the way, when i have my car in gear..and have the clutched pressed all the way in..the car still GOES! wtf. pretty much it feels like driving without a clutch pedal, i have to turn my car off and put it into gear and turn it back on when i drive it around. how embarrassing is that?! ahhhh help me.

You're clutch disc prolly came apart, or your pilot bearing seized. Its not likely to be anything in the tranny itself.

My Fren had the exact same problem... so we took the the tranny out to change the clutch, an when we got it off the pressure plate was screwed up, one of the springs on the pressure plate... was damaged... actually broken off an luckyly it had not hit the flywheel

Just want to add that it is probably the clutch disc or in that area....you should always start with the simple things first. Could even be the master cylinder..or fluid.

But, a friend of mine with an Si had a problem with the exact same symptoms..he needed a new clutch, but he also destroyed a bearing and a shaft in the tranny itself.

But like i said, try the simple stuff first.

Before you rip the tranny out to check the clutch, definetely check your hydraulics first.

The clutch disc coming apart and jamming things is a fairly common failure in cars that get pushed hard. Especially if they have the stock clutch.
