Honestly, I wouldn't worry aboout why it was leaking one day and not another. Just replace it.

I got an OEM one for my Prelude for $128 shipped to me. Not difficult to install either.

Good luck.

The radiator is not pressurized, (check by squeezing a hose) and/or the fluid has fallen lower than the crack/leak. You say you still smell antifreeze which makes sense as you are sensing the vapors now and not seeing dribbles. Keep driving and you will run all the fluid out and ruin the engine.
My rule was to fix a radiator once then replace it at second leak. I think that is still reasonable for all metal radiators but certainly not plastic ones. Take the general consensus opinion and replace it asap. All metal is the best way to go.

Yes - don't waste your time - just put a new one in. Get an aftermarket - those usually have a Lifetime warranty.
