A GSR or Type-R head will bolt onto a B16 no problem. An ITR head (PR3 casting) is just a mildly ported/polished B16 head.

If it is a VTEC B18 head, then you are in business. If it's a B18 A/B, no good.

That is a non-VTEC head. You can bolt it on, it will be the opposite of an LS/VTEC. It will make less power than stock. Sorry.

The code stamped on VTEC heads is either PR3 for ITR and B16 heads, or P72 for GSR heads. (this is just B-series---H & F-series engines also have VTEC, not to mention I-VTEC K-series).

There is some debate on that one. Some say the GSR (P72/B18C1) head makes more power. Others swear by the B16/ITR (PR3) head. Done right, either is a good choice. You will need more than just a head to make power-intake, throttle body, header, exhaust , cams, injectors, fuel management, and perhaps pistons. Figure out your goals and budget, then choose parts accordingly.

Why getting a new head since you already have B16A2 VTEC head?

If I was you I would start working on the bottom end.

I want to build a head but i dont want any down time. So i can still drive and not have to put it back together every time i need to go some where.

$150 for an LS head is high, and really not worth it. I don't know if an LS head has ever been put on a VTEC block, but I suspect that some one has done it. You would probably need to plug the VTEC oil passage in the block. Again I say "it is not worth it". Get a VTEC head.
