Kumho Ecsta KH11
I've got the Kumho Ecsta 711, very good grip on dry and wet pavement. I rarely ever lose traction in the rain w/ 'em. I'd recommend 'em if you're on a money budget, imo, they're good tires for the money.
Me personally - I ahd nothing but problems with them. I went through two sets of front tires (kumho 712's). Both problems were ir-repairable sidewall damage. THe actual tread was separating from the sidewall. IN my opinion, you get what you pay for. I have since gone with Falken's and love'em.
Again, just my opinion.

kumho is great for that money, it a very good choice but dont expect alot from a 65 per piece tires.
azenis>kumho 712/711
I never have problem with my set of kumho

but azenis suck in the rain when the thread gets low because of that 200 thread wear rating. but then again 711's do suck at autox

don't necessarily believe the whole treadwear rating, kinda misleading when going from one brand to another, and kumho = cheap and with tires you'll get what you pay for, I'd shy away if you could

Yep, can't compare the threadwear from brand a to brand b
the the lower the thread life doesnt means the grippier the tires neither.
azenis is very noisy before they are break in too

ive had 712's for about a year and a half now. no complaints whatsoever. rarely lose traction in the rain, and theyre pretty grippy. by no means the best tires out there, but they are a great value.

I too used to have a set of Kumho's they were crap! They performed a tad bit better than the stock 15" michelins I had on my stock rims. The only thing they did was over stay their welcome. This was the only time in my life I was wanting my tires to wear prematurely! I have gone to Falkens and I love them, they perform a thousand times better than those Kumho supra's I had. I live in a dry climate so maybe thats the difference between me and anyone who actually likes kumhos, but whatever.

The 712 are good cheap Z tires.
I looked at mine closely the other day and noticed some of the thread broke away.
This suggests to me their construction is not so great, but they do grip.
As long as you don't take them over rough pavement, you are fine.
I would go 712 again, but might look into the falken next time just to try something new.
