Anyone else going to FATT on the 26th?
I'll be there, for what it's worth.
Corey and Bryan will be there.

Yes I am in. Bryan
no, i did not sign up for nasa. i am not sure if i want to go to this FATT. my car is geared more for JC. on the big track , i get swallowed up by most of the cars and spend a lot of my time with my hand out of the window. i could always use the time to work on my lines!!
It will be fun, thats what it is all about. Its not about how many times you get passed, or pass. You will have a blast. There are a bunch of us going.

being passed is not a problem, i do not care about that. what i am talking about is going against cars that out power you and the only thing i did was stick my hand out for them to pass. i do not have track tires and it is hard to compete with that. maybe there were too many cars out there?? the jc is good because the way my car is geared, i can get out of the turns fast enough and let someone pass in the straights if they can get around me!!
it is always about FUN though!!

when i go to any event, i want to learn. when drove faster cars than what i have now, i would be able to pass more cars and stay out there alone. now, i have to use momentum to go around some cars. that is fine but i have some trouble staying in front of them on the straights. i do not care if i get passed, it is how they do it that i am concerned with. maybe i will try NASA next year!!

George - how much are FATT and what time are they? And, more importantly, do they still have spots available?

that kind of driving does not really bother me. they know they are faster than our little "4 bangers", but feel the need to ride up our ***. as if they were drafting!! FATT's are a ton of fun with the same hp cars. 385 and 160 do not match!! it is fun pissing them off in the corners though!

And yes, I will be there, w/ new motor and all...
corey, i am not confused at all, but thanks for your help. i know that these are not for comp. but for learning. i guess my point was not well made in my statement. i just meant to state that it sucked getting passed all of the time and my arm was tired. that was not fun for me. i was too worried about the guys flying up behind me to worry if my line was correct. that was MY mistake, i must forget about them and worry about me. no harm corey and i am glad you have your new motor.

Hey, check out this site to find accomodations at Summit Point, courtesy of the SCCA DC-Region.

I think RacerJon recommended the Towne House and Turf Motel. Approximately 500 yards away from those two fine establishments, I stayed at the Northgate Inn... I came out in one piece, and well-rested... what more can one ask?
How's this fer spellin', GK?

Just thought I'd throw some middle-english at y'all folks 'round yonder.

Yeah, I'll be there. I just got finished changing brake fluid after this past Friday's FATT, but I'll be back on the 26th! Guess I can't get enough...

I'd love to come out on the 3rd and 4th, but my calendar's already full for that weekend. Sorry, I know you only need one more but it won't be me.

Friday's FATT was a blast! It was a cold and windy, but nothing too terrible. I managed to get signed off for seat time during the last session, so I left happy!
It was great meeting George, Corey, Bryan, Greg and quite a few other people. If it wasn't for Bryan giving me his street pads and Corey's help doing a quick switch between sessions, I'd have gone home early.
Thanks folks!
