Default are the dohc F-series blocks and the h-blocks the same?

i know generally the f series are sohc's but the dohc exceptions like the S2K and the accord sir-t have a dohc-F that sort of resembles the h blocks in alot of ways. i read that the dohc-f's arent a part of the f-family. so are they like the H's or completely different than both fs and hs... because i saw a h22 dropped in an accord that came with a f20b.....soooo, shed some light accord experts

No, they are not. The 92-96 H22 and H23 blocks are the same though. The only difference is one says H23 and the other says H22.

the f20b is a destroked h22...i believe it uses the same block with just a different crank and rods...

the f20c spins the oposite direction though, unfortunately...

I thought the H22 and H23 blocks were different, H23 being closed deck and H22 being open....

nope...the blocks are the same...same part number from honda and all...the sleeves are different, though the 92-95 h22's were closed deck as well...the different sleeves have to do with high revving on the h22...

you all should be more specific as to not confuse some people browsing....yes, the h22/h23 block casting is the same. the rods, pistons, and crank are different between the 2.

Yes, please. Also, do you have a link that states the differences in the sleeves?? Just want some reasurance. I question EVERYTHING and seek proof. Nothing personal.
