Default My Apexi N1 review

Today I installed the Apexi N1 on my 01 GSR. I did a bucnch of research on here about it and came up with all negative stuff. Most people said it was really loud and didnt like it. Over all the sound is real clean and is not loud at all to me. Of course my last car I had open Downpipe for 6 months straight and it was a dialy driver. So comparing it to my last car I guess anything would be quieter.

Cruising at around 60 I cant even hear the exhaust at all. When taking off under normal throttle the exhaust sounds really good. When you give it more gas it gets a little louder but still very tolerable. This is the only mod on my car as of this week so I guess when i do my header and test pipe it will get a little louder.

Overall the fitment was really good. The muffler hits the rear bumper just a little bit but nothing major at all.

Most people recommend the 600 plus dollar exhaust systems. IMO for under 500 the N1 is a great exhaust.

I agree the N1 by Apexi is a nice cat back...Some say it is too loud and can make someone go deaf, but all in all the sound, look, and performance of the 2.5 inch exhaust gets my vote

Currently using the N1 as we speak, turbo or not!

Good choice with the Apex.

I just put that exhaust on my car and i think it sounds good and not loud at all. i can barely here it over my intake in higher rpms and mine hit the bumper too and started to melt it so i put it on the exhaust hangers that were lower than where the stock exhaust mounts were it dropped it down like a half an inch which worked out perfect you should try that. personally i like the sound of it.

I love my n1....the best exhaust sytem I've had out of the 4 i've tried............but believe me, you might want to put in the silencer after you put on a test pipe......... but if cops arent dicks in your area, then leave out the silencer and open her up!

Well the testpipe is a resonated one from T1R. i dont think cops here really care cause I had my car open Dp for over 6 months and never got pulled over once on my old car. I think with a resonated pipe it will give it a even more cleaner sound.

As for it hitting the rear bumper I will have to try to ue the lower hangers. When we were installing it I was debating on using them but thought it would be to low.

Once an exhaust gets broken in, they tend to get a little louder. But the N! is the nicest looking and best performing.
