Default Summit Battery box install: help

I purchased the summit battery box kit to relocate my battery into my trunk, I personally have a 4 door but i'm looking for any help or pics of this kit installed

does anyone have any tips or anything, the instructions are decent but write ups are ALWAYS better

I also wanted to know if I have to install my own vent tube, seing how I have a 4 door integra, so it's technically in the trunk, but I dont know the rules like the experts that are on here...well most of you

I'm talking about rules for circle track, and drag, and even Auto X

thanks in advance

Nick

I would personally run a sealed dry cell battery like Optima so you don't have to vent it.

Also run at least 1/0, preferably 0/0 guage wiring up to the front of the car, and put a 150A fuse or circuit breaker on the power cable within 18" of the positive battery terminal.

I ran an Optima red top in my old car, mounted in the trunk, but I only used 4-ga. cable. I had a 150A fuse but after awhile the wire inside the fuse started to deform because the current was having to travel such a long distance thru that 4-ga. cable.

the kit comes with 2 gauge will this be enough to go from the battery to the front of the car? I'm planning on using 4 gauge from the battery to the amp distrubition block

should the dist block in the front of the car have a fuse and then I have an inline fuse in the trunk on the same wire that goes up front

and then also have a fuse on the wire that goes from the battery to the amp dist block in the trunk?

let me know what you guys think

One Gauge... I think Would be better... handle more current I think... Its should be I had 17ft from summit & I had bought an extra 4-5 Ft.... just incase

since your a stereo guy if you notice some wierd Fuel injection problems the first while consider using another distribution block and play around with running grounds to solid chassis members, especially if you notice battery discharging or hard starts.
