i need to get at least a new driver side motormount (torn and bleeding). i think this is also part of my shifting problem since the engine seems to sag a little towards the driverside and my shifter moves a lot when i get on and off the gas. when i'm shifting quick it grinds going into third a little and second will sometimes pop out if i get on and off it without holding the shifter. i just replaced the shifter stabilizer with an insert and it seems to have fixed it a little and i still need to do the other end of the stabilizer at the shift lever.

if i get prothane motormount inserts they just use my existing mounts, right? if that's the case how do i get the old mounts out? i assume that i have to cut them out somehow. or should i just replace the motorside upper on the driverside and be done with it and keep the others?

help me out since i can't see what comes in the kit...it says 3 pieces which i figure are the motor side top, tranny side top, and rear tranny mount.

 

you definately need a new liquid filled one but i suggest buying the solid one not sure who makes but im sure someone here does and as for the inserts they do exactly that they are just inserted into your existing motor mounts no modifacation needed and they do make a world of diff.

 

place racing and hasport make the solid mounts. Or instead of inserts you can use window weld, but Ive heard some good and bad. Like your car sounds like its vibrating to all hell, etc., etc.
