What new tires should I get for the R
I have Volk TE-37 (16x7) on my 98 R with Falken Az. 215/45/16. I need tires so I can drive during the winter and on crappy days. So I'm getting tires today. I need to get some all season but has great grip in dry. What size and type should I get? Anyone?
If no snow...go BS S-03, or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3.
However, for the best size, which stock is 215/45/16 for 16". The only option you have is Michelin Pilot Sport, not to be confused with crappy OE MX4s, these tires have great reviews from many enthuasiest....on special too! Whooping $167 each y0!

I personally used S-03, still not too confident in the wet with it, but never got me in trouble once. Since I live in the Northeast, with colder temperture in the winter, I am currently using Dunlop SP5000, very happy with them

When you say you're "getting tires today" do you mean you'll be going to a tire store today and picking some up, or placing an order? Because, if you'll be going to a store you're pretty much stuck getting what's in stock. If you're looking at something to drive "in the winter" then get some steel wheels and winter tires from tire rack. Only a couple more months of "winter" left anyway!

It's spelled Hakkapeliitta Q, and they are awesome snow tires.

I give a definite
to the LM-22 Blizzaks. They handle snow/ice well and are surprisingly good in dry/wet weather too. Smooth, comfortable ride on the higway too, ive been using them for 2 winters now.

I have the yokohama guardex snow tires, which i would def. have to recommend. they are great in the snow, but are also fine for "normal" conditions, which is really what i need in the northwest. I run them on ssr's, why not run them on volks? that way it still looks good and you get a little better performance
The Q's are made in Finland i belive(or maybe it was in sweden?),awsome tires, though i wouldn't recommend them as an all season tire... I'm have pirelli's on my R,damn good tire(can't say if they are better than the nokians since i'v only driven the R 2 times this winter)...
