Blown door speakers

The speakers in my door are blown and I was told at circuit city that this could mess with the ones in the back, the cd player, as well as the eletrical system of the car. Is this true?

a blown speaker will cause the radio to shut off by going into protection mode. the best thing you can do if you dont plan on replacing the speakers anytime soon is tho disconnect them.
