Pressure plate????
Wat does a pressure plate mean and wat is its role wit the clutch, cause when i searched nuttin came up.. and also does clutchmasters make a clutch for a GSR motor because the highest motor is only 1.7L, thanks!!!
The pressure plate is what engages and disengages the clutch disc. The clutch disc is connected to the input shaft of the transmission via its splined hub. When you step on the clutch pedal, the springs of the pressure plate are released, allowing the clutch disc to spin independently of the flywheel. Take your foot off the clutch pedal and the springs of the pressure plate clamp the clutch disc to the flywheel, effectively locking the input shaft of the transmission to the engine. The input shaft is then spinning at the same rate as the engine.
