d16....another crank work???

Default d16....another crank work???

jsut got this fishy idea running through my head here while bored at work, im building an all motor carbed d16a6 with forged zc pistons, anything that people are doing to sroke these?? like i said im not certain if at all possible jsut wondering since tomorrow morning i plan on tearing down the block to get started and might make a trip to puck up something if it can be used

to stroke it you would have o cut your crank.. and have the rod journals moved, and then re-welded.

or do some research on using the d17 crank...i heard it will fit in the d16 block but i dont know how you would use it without using shorter rods or welding some sort of extension on the deck of the block.

Untill somebody has a d-16 driving for a hundred thousand mines with a D17 crank.. I'll keep what I got...lol

yea ill prolly jsut stick with it for now, running higher compression of like 12.1 to 1 is gonna kill my reliability fora good while i know but i jsut wondring for sure never heard anything on it really

High compression has nothing to do with reialibity

but my right foot likes the power that i gained from the compression and tuning, my driving in effect kills the reliablility is more alogn the lines, yet to blow an engine so mayb eim not that bad on them afterall, (i take that back, not a honda, blew the hell out of an 89 mazda 323, man those were the days)

As you can see from above, the D17 crank does fit into D16 blocks.
