Hehe..cool. We had an 87 240DL for many years, and two other 2-series in the past. My dad and brother autocrossed it once. It met an unfortunate demise at 210k miles in 98 when a tornado knocked down an oak tree and took it out dead center. Was a great car while it lasted, no ***** but actually handled pretty well with IPD swaybars and Bilsteins.
I always wanted to put a 302 into that chassis to make a great street sleeper, even started building a twin-turbo motor for the project at one point, then sold it all off for my shifter kart. I think a wagon/302 would make a good cheap tow vehicle for a light car, or general purpose workhorse.

My previous Volvo was a 242 Turbo (1984). The 242GT's ('78-'80) were N.A.
104hp-107hp what is the difference when you have such a little hp/lb ratio?
This beast will be a sleeper one day.... I just need to stop the rust and start saving for the I-6 motor that may be installed.

-workhorse... nice... the GEE-TEA has a new name.

Yeah! 242 GT bustin moves! heh..heh.
I was working control at this event, and Willard was such an angry little corner worker that I had to let him out on track for a while! (see pics below)
You can tell he's Jack's brother.. heh..heh.

OMG... you put him at the most BORING corner there... Poor Will!
... not really.
Always nice to see the GEE TEA out on track. Soon as I can find me some 15" Turbo wheels, sway bars and decent shocks, DA GUN will be hitting the track too
