And just to make sure I'm saying it correctly, the Gen is like gen in the word "Again" ?
Ahh. Immortal just answered my question.

Yup, it's often mispronounced but, you're right Moo Gen like the cow goes with a strong G and the En.
But Spoon is just like the utensil the Spoon.
Now if I can just convince my cousin that Mugen is a Japanese performance company and NOT German "as he thinks, or am I mistaken?" Heh Heh Heh...

I've always pronounced it Mew-gen only cause it flows a bit better hehe (or at least I think it does). If you were to use Japanese phonetics though it would be pronounced Moo-gen.
isn't it actually pronounced Mew GEN, with a more pronounced second syllable...
I still say MEW gen, but i think the correct way to say it is mewGEN (hard G)

As per the gozigen website: http://www.5zigen.co.jp
their name, as written in kanji would seem to indicate that
it's pronounced as 'go' + 'jigen' = 5th dimension.
In my experiences with Japanese, there is no true 'Zi' sounding
character. (The 'shi' character + tenten is prounced 'ji')
FYI, san-jigen means 3-D (as in three dimensional).
