Can't decide Spec B or Spec C
i have the toda valvetrain and 82mm toda pistons. I'm currently using Power FC. But can't decide using Spec B or Spec C cams. Please help for decision. Does it worth for that bit power over stress on the valvetrain??

Are you going to go dyno tune your car? If so, you may as well get the spec C. Also for spec C, you will need to get a larger injector. But since you already have the Power FC, and I assume you know how to tune it, I guess it shouldn't too bad the dial in the Spec C.
If you don't want to go thurs all the trouble and don't want to spend days on a dyno, just go with Spec B.

The reason people recommend B's over C's is because C's need high compression pistons for max power. Since you already have TODA pistons and the tuning flexibility of the Apex PowerFC, get the C's.
The top end difference between the two cams is pretty dramatic. Get the C's without a doubt!

Since you have everything already, get the C's.
You will definitely have the top-end advantage over the B's.
Who says JUN's don't need to be tuned?
If there was such thing as a 'Toda' ecu, then the tuning requirement would be same as the JUN's.

Spec Cs have worked fine for me. If you have the Power FC, Hondata or a tuneable Engine Management of sorts they will idle just fine. Mine idled rough, but held the idle, with the 97 ITR ECU and a V-AFC...

But isn't TODA C cams cost pretty shitting idle? I won't recommend SpecC if that's for daily driving. Try to find a good technician to dyno tune it for u if u wanna get the max power from the cams

The idle is not as bad as most think. If you get your fuel right, it will pur like a kitten. Mine idles just fine with the hondata, and idled just fine with the stock ECU and V-AFC. I am not going to lie, it takes time to get the right adjustments to get it to idle like that, but it is not impossible.

TODA spec C will idle the same as the spec B. I have the spec B and the idle is pretty stable at around 800rpm, may be there is a +/-100rpm surge sometime, but not bad at all. Won't even notice it if your have a quiet exhaust.
I am stuck on the same problem........So far all I have is a hi tech header, aem cai, and vafc.......Still waiting on my exhaust from hi tech.....Once I get that, I dunno if I am gonna go with B's or C's.......*sigh*
I have been going through the same debate. There isn't anyone around my area that is familiar with tuning Toda stuff, so I am kinda reluctant to get the C's.
I figured if I got the B's, I would just fly Jack to Omaha and have him tune my car

It was mentioned by BLADE that the Toda Cs need higher compression, if this is the case can anyone give me compression numbers please?
Here in California we have 91 octane, many have said that you can get away with 12.2-12.3 compression with 91 octane. Is this high enuff compression for the Toda Cs?
thanks
