padawan's removal kit and autocross??
just installed power steering removal kit from padawan and was wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with this. i have my first event this weekend and was wondering what to expect. so far (only on highway) feedback is awesome. kinda curious how tight chicago boxes, etc will work out. thanks for the help. todd

auto-x is sunday. i never really just cut the belt so i (from experience) cant' say how much better it is. there is tons of info out on this in here. from all the reviews i read it is tremendously better. i just don't have anytihing to compare it to. i just went to a 350mm nardi and i drive a LS as a daily beater with rocks for tires....so the difference between the two is drastic, but were not comparing apples to apples.....
True... come over tonight and drive my R so you can tell the difference- I prbably will do the kit as my arms get sore from parking...
Gaspirilla is going to be an awesome time- 40's are on the way from ATL
Where is the autoX sunday?

Autocross competitors typically use very high tire pressures (compared to pressures you would use on the street or on a circuit). It's not uncommon to see tire pressures in the high 40s (psi).
I would think that this would offset the increased steering effort that you encounter with the removal of the p/s system. Plus once you are rolling - even if it's 4 MPH - turning the wheel is much much easier that if you are stopped or nearly stopped.

do you have PS on your R? i do agree it will be much easier rolling and it could also reinforce some proper driving habbits. it will prevent plowing in sharp corners.....you can't turn the wheel too far, etc....just trying to get some voices of experience before auto-x sunday....thanks todd

Not "they". Padawan was nice enough to assemble all the needed componants into an inexpencive kit for those of us who ar too lazy to do it ourselves. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=563116

i have come to the conclusion that removing the p/s in a no no for autocross. it is good for the average stunna drag/street racer and also good for roadcourse use, but for autocross it just makes the transitions that much harder. not worth it imho
