Default Wheel size choices, offset etc..

Well, I'm needing to go to a wider wheel as we all know having an FI'd FWD car and traction does not go hand in hand.. I've reverted back to using my stock 15x6 ITR wheels with R compound tyre from 17x7 wheels with Eagle F1 road tyre. I need not only more traction but also extra grip for track use ......

I want to stick to 15" or up to 16" and I am thinking of getting either 7x15" or 8x15" and the like for 16" Advan RGs coupled with an R compound tyre. My question is, would 8x15" or 8x16" fit under the arches with appropriately sized profile tyres and offset? If so what kind of offset would fit?

TIA

My 15x7" kosei's fit with plenty of clearance. They're still for sale if you're interested. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=755702. Their offset is close to stock at +45mm, so upgraded calipers will not fit with my wheels.

.RJ put it best when he said "wheels are a wear item."

I would get some SSR comps 15x7.5 before I spend 1k+ on a cast wheel like the RG..

all depends on what work you want to do. for track use i run a 15x8.5 on the front, and a 15x7 in the back with 225 hoosiers. for street use i 16x8 rx7 wheels with 215/45-16 azenis. if you are making huge power via f/i, i suggest 245/45-16's for the front at a minimum. i run a variety of different wheels, and they might not always match visually, but i don't give fugg what i look like, as long as i am fast...
