Default piping

first of all im sorry about the spelling thats one thing i failed in high school those many years ago... but anyways i was thinking about picking up some piping and was wondering what size would be good. i was am going to get it custom most likely. i have a d16z6 on a sol with a aem CAI and a DC 4-2-1 header. i was wondering what size piping to get. is 2 1/4 good or too much? also i want a quiet muffler. my friend told me apex i world... or basically any greddy. what do you guys think? need feed back please. thanks a lot in advance

2 1/4 is perfect for ur current set up...if u intend on going forced induction in the near future u might wanna plan for that and get bigger piping. as for quietness, to my understanding the apexi world sport is the one of the more quieter ones and the greddy sp is also quiet. not all greddys are quiet....the dunk and others arent quiet at all.

we do alot of motors like yours.. and yes 2.25 isnt that bad.. if your going to get into the full nice header, intake and start to build it a bit.. then 2.5" .. but 2.25" isnt that bad for you.. untill you get deeper in the "game"

ok thanx guys i guess then the best thing would beto go with a 2.25. The other thing is do you guys think i should get a whole setup on the exhaust and piping or should i just get an exhaust and have the piping done custom. Also what is the size of the stock piping 1.5?

either custom or a pre-made one will work about the same. The biggest difference is the price. Usually you can get the piping put together and buy a decent muffler for less than you can buy a cat-back setup that's allready put together. It's just preferance and whether or not you want the warranty from buying a pre-fabbed one (some nicer muffler shops might give you a warranty too though, so check around).
